Modifying the Boundaries Interactively
The boundaries can be moved with the mouse in the partition window. When the cursor is on or near a boundary (with the <control> key not held down), the cursor changes to a double arrow. Left clicking then enables the user to drag the position of the boundary. When the cursor is in the double arrow state, the context menu that is shown with a right click contains a menu item to delete the boundary at the position of the cursor. The menu also contains an item to add a boundary. Following selection of the add item, a left click in the color bar area adds a boundary; the new boundary can be moved as long as the left button is held down. An existing or new boundary cannot be moved above or below the neighboring boundaries. The left pane of the status bar shows the index value of the boundary as it is being moved.
